CommUnify of Santa Barbara County, a nonprofit that operates a local 2-1-1 helpline, will host a community celebration day later this month. The organization answered nearly 30,000 calls and texts from community members in 2021, offering information about low-cost or no-cost resources.
The organization will celebrate 2-1-1- Community Day Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Dick DeWees Community Center in Lompoc. During the free event, more than 50 local community nonprofits will go over needed services in the county, answering questions and offering no-cost vaccines and health screenings for both adults and children.
Live music will be provided by Sandy Silva from 95.7 The Beat, as well as from Whose House Is This? and duo Gates & Goodell. Third District Supervisor Joan Hartmann will also be present.
