Kids have fun at Mavericks camps while learning lessons in character and sports.

This summer, Mavericks Athletics hosted its fifth year of summer sports camps for Carpinteria youth. What began as a fun way to teach kids character through athletics has become a popular youth camp filled with active games, friendly competitions and tons of fun. Mavericks offered several different themed weeks this summer, including two weeks of basketball (their specialty), one week of soccer and one week of sports skills. “It’s pure fun and games from start to finish,” said Mavericks coach Ryan Reed.

Mavericks strives to keep everything they do affordable and available to all Carpinteria youth, whether for club basketball or summer camps. Mavericks assists players no matter their family’s financial position. Foster youth can attend all programs free. For more information, contact
