The United Boys & Girls Clubs Carpinteria Chargers Royal and Navy teams won league championships in both the third/fourth and fifth/sixth grade divisions. 

 

The United Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County’s Carpinteria Chargers earned high marks during the organization’s 2019 flag football season. Local squads won league championships in both the third/fourth and fifth/sixth grade divisions. 

Carpinteria’s Chargers Royal Team, coached by Gary Feramisco and Ben Scott, won the third/fourth grade division with a 7-1 record and the Chargers Navy Team, coached by Kevin Monaghan, won the fifth/sixth grade division with a 6-1 record. The Carpinteria “Chargers Tykes,” the kindergarten-through-second grade group, participated in Future Chargers Flag Football Clinics Teaching Fundamentals under the leadership of Tony De Felicis, assistant club and athletic director. In the Carpinteria Unit’s “Chargers vs. Parents” flag football game, the youngChargers prevailed by a score of 21-16.
