At long last, the City Council seems to be listening to the people of Carpinteria, the majority of whom have been voicing opposition to the development of a hotel on our Beach Parking Lot #3 and installation of a parking lot on our open space on the south side of the tracks.

Going forward, a vote is the only way to fairly work through this process, since we were denied a say when this idea was launched in the first place. It is our land. We are not willing to give it up for the next 99 years, nor are we willing to endure a public parking lot against our private properties.
