Last fall, we bought a home in Carpinteria unaware that our elected county supervisor, Das Williams, had taken handfuls of money from cannabis growers to grant permits to grow foul smelling cannabis near our home. We want him to return the $30,000 he received in campaign contributions and recuse himself from any pending cannabis appeals and permits before the Board of Supervisors. We want an investigation into how and why Das Williams allowed Carpinteria to be saddled with 281 active cannabis licenses—1/3 of all licenses issued in the whole county.
