A reader sends a halo to Dr. Adrienne Oliver at Animal Medical Clinic. “(She is) a veterinarian extraordinaire, who has helped all of our animals with such personal and loving care. Thank you!”

A reader sends a halo to Carl and his wife for surprising Laura Pettit, owner of Fosters Freeze, with an antique “Little Foster” wind-up toy they found. “It will occupy a place of honor at Fosters Freeze, and confirmed my belief in the good people in Carpinteria!”

A reader sends a halo to Annette and Dan for doing a wonderful job of judging the holiday lights at the reader’s mobile home park.

A reader sends a halo to A-Z Tec Solutions. “They have serviced my printer/scanner/copier/fax machine for several years… Always on time! Always ready to go! Extremely fair pricing and just a joy to deal with.”

A reader sends a pitchfork to the recycling truck that was either overfull, or not closed properly, driving south on the 101 and dropping plastic through Carpinteria and La Conchita. “My son was in great distress, saying ‘The poor sea creatures! What if a turtle eats that plastic?’”

A reader sends a pitchfork to the worker replacing the American flag who allowed the flag to lay on the ground outside the building.

A reader sends a pitchfork to the local organization that posts the same event on every Carpinteria group Facebook page. “What a nuisance! I can’t stand receiving multiple alerts multiple times a day for every workshop you hold. Just post it once and be done with it.”
