The recent Grand Jury Report on cannabis makes clear that the County Board of Supervisors cannot be trusted to protect the interests of Carpinteria. Despite numerous letters from the city of Carpinteria to the county and numerous conversations between our city councilmembers and county supervisors, almost zero progress has been made towards improving our air quality and decreasing nuisances caused by out-of-control and incompatible cannabis operations adjacent to the city.

The U.S. Attorney is eager to step in to investigate and prosecute numerous violations of federal law which include proximity of controlled substances to schools and racketeering. Please join me in urging our City Council to send a letter to the U.S. Attorney requesting assistance. This will cost the city nothing and will be a huge help. Without the help of the U.S. Attorney, we will continue to be ignored and will continue to suffer. We want our clean air back!
