7/22/1927 – 9/21/2018

On Sept. 21, we lost our precious mother Jennie “Nana” Beam.

She was the light of our lives.

Mother cared for and loved her children Beverly Husted (Ron), Linda Parra (Dan), Leon Ramirez (Robin) and Paul Ramirez (Ruth), till the day she left us.

Mom had 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Mom was born in Carpinteria on 5th Street on July 22, 1927, the 10th of 12 children to Mauricio and Ruth Cruz. She graduated from Carpinteria High School. Mom married at a young age, and as her marriage regressed she was left to support four children, working two jobs every day. As her children grew older, she was able to continue her education and she became a clerk for municipal courts, first in Carpinteria and then Santa Barbara Municipal Court.

Mom remarried and was able to travel to numerous places, including Europe, Hawaii and Mexico, where she owned a condo in Cabo San Lucas. She also traveled the majority of the United States. She traveled with her late husband Bill, and took many trips with her children.

She was a true animal lover, especially dogs. Her beloved dog “Tinkerbell” survives her. Life will never be the same without you MOM! Until we’re all together again, all our love goes with you.

Your Loving Family
