“Huey” helicopter

On Aug. 31, the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 218, Santa Barbara, brought a war-era “Huey” helicopter to Carpinteria’s Fosters Freeze for the public to view. Visitors of all ages climbed aboard the chopper, looked for the two patched bullet holes from wartime fuselage, and considered the work and sacrifices that US veterans have made throughout history and continue to make.
