The Carpinteria Community Pool celebrated 30 years of operation on Saturday, June 1, with a Hawaiian-themed party throughout the day and into the late evening hours—the afternoon was given over to family fun and swimming, then became a 21-and-over celebration from 4 to 9 p.m. Gray skies didn’t contribute to the tropical feel, but party goers’ aloha shirts and flower leis went a long way to brightening the mood.
