Over 80 craft breweries, wineries and makers of ciders and kombucha gathered on Linden Field on Saturday, Aug. 10, to offer Surf ‘n’ Suds Beer Festival goerssamples of their craft. The price of admission included a commemorative glass, which participants used to sample their favorite brews.

Several environmental and surf-oriented nonprofits were on hand, including the Surfrider Foundation, Santa Barbara Channelkeeper and Heal the Ocean. Areasurfboard builders like Jason Klein of Third World Surfboards and John Perry of JVP Surfboards had their wares on display and for sale as well. DJ Hecktik kept the music pumping through the first half of the event until the bands Spoonful and Cornerstone brought their rock and reggae sounds to the festival grounds, all to benefit the Young and the Brave Foundation and other area nonprofits.
