The Lions Club of Carpinteria recently completed their annual vision-screening project on a total of 690 students over a four-day period, marking 41-years that the club has provided the service to the Carpinteria Unified School District. State-of-the-art technology allows the Lions to perform the task in half the time as the previous method, and the club has screened 3,653 students in the five-years that they have had the new equipment.
