La Conchitans

La Conchitans donated dozens of gifts to Ventura Fire Department’s annual toy drive.

Residents of seaside La Conchita once again demonstrated the small community’s big heart by participating in the Spark of Love toy drive. Dozens of La Conchitans gathered on the morning of Dec. 15 to donate toys to children in need. Firefighters from Ventura County Fire Department, one of multiple Southern California agencies involved in the drive, collected the toys and loaded them into two fire trucks from the nearby Seacliff station. The annual Spark of Love toy drive is now in its 26th year and has provided more than 9.5 million toys for underserved children and teens in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties. Anyone interested in donating can bring a new, unwrapped toy or sports equipment to any VCFD fire station through Christmas Eve.
