For those who have long-since received their diplomas and degrees, it can be easy to forget the profound sense of accomplishment and the important milestone that the annual ceremony of graduation represents. The families of Carpinteria High School’s Class of 2020 haven’t forgotten however, and custom signs are popping up in yards across town, with a number CHS seniors featured here. Another set of parents, former First Lady Michelle Obama and President Barack Obama will participate in a national graduation ceremony on YouTube, on June 6, for graduates from high school, university or “any other kind of school,” Mrs. Obama tweeted on May 5.
