Members of Future Farmers of America from Carpinteria High School participated in the annual showmanship day in Fillmore on July 22. Using the competition as an opportunity to practice showmanship skills before the Ventura County Fair (July 31–Aug. 11), Carpinteria FFA members performed solidly for their group. Alondra Badillo brought home a third-place ribbon in Novice Goat Showmanship, Natalia Gonzalez earned a fifth-place ribbon in Novice Sheep Showmanship and Ivan Espinoza received a fourth-place medal in Advanced Sheep Showmanship.
