On a recent trip to Australia, Joe and Lucy Overgaag took the Coastal View News along when they visited their family in Mount Isa, Queensland. Nephew Mark Van Ryt treated them on a tour to Mount Isa Mines where they went 5,000 feet underground. They drove multiple tunnels, and saw workshops, equipment and safety systems. They also got to ride in a big dumpster. The mine produces copper, zinc, lead and silver. Before going to Mount Isa, the Overgaags went on an expedition to the Northern Territory, followed by a coastal cruise exploring the Kimberly in remote Northwestern Australia.
