On Feb. 16, Santa Barbara County reported 376 deaths since the start of the pandemic, including 18 individuals in the South County communities of Carpinteria, Montecito and Summerland. 

In the South County communities there have been 1,241 confirmed cases. In the city of Santa Barbara, there have been 5,692 cases. 

Countywide the Public Health Department has reported 30,991 positive cases with 597 of these still considered infectious. 

There have now been over 1,300 infections among the county’s health care workers. Hispanic/Latino communities continue to be the most impacted group in the county with 17,494 confirmed cases to date.
