Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce hosted its first ever State of the County event at the Santa Barbara Hilton Rotunda on Sept. 30, which was also the first live event for the chamber since the onset of the pandemic. County CEO Mona Miyasoto highlighted $15.7 in annual cannabis tax revenue last year as a positive for the county’s budget, especially for weathering the recent series of public emergencies. Other speakers included Kristen Miller, Chamber CEO, County Board of Supervisors Chairperson Bob Nelson and UCSB Economic Forecast Project Director Dr. Peter Rupert.
