Beachcombers took advantage of the extreme low tides along Carpinteria State Beach to look at shells and stones.

TripAdvisor’s travel blog has named Carpinteria one of “18 incredibly charming small towns in California.” Culling positive reviews from its platform, TripAdvisor’s editorial team selected California’s most divine destinations, including other nearby hotspots like Ojai, Oxnard and Solvang.

Describing Carpinteria as a “relaxed beach town,” TripAdvisor noted, “here the surf is great, the beaches are broad and clean, and the vibes are decidedly casual.” Extra shoutouts were given to the tamales at Reynaldo’s Bakery and Carpinteria State Beach.
