Peebee & Jay’s Sandwich Shop has opened a third location in Newbury Park. “Our number one goal in any of our restaurants is to provide fresh, healthy and delicious food that’s prepared quickly and always comes with a smile,” said Jessica Clark, co-owner. Clark’s flagship location in Carpinteria has been open for 12 years. “I eat there almost every day. And I’m still finding new combinations to try!”

Each location dedicates a Build Your Own PB&J section to the local community. Newbury Park patrons will find “The Marky Meza Peebee & Jay-za!” named after Mark Meza, who was one of the victims of the 2018 Borderline shooting. Meza was an employee and close friend of both Clark and Scow for several years, and Meza’s mother and sisters are Clark’s dear friends. “It was a no-brainer,” Peebee & Jay’s co-owner Kristin Scow commented on the choice. “He was like a little brother to me, and I’m honored to be able to remember him in this way.”
