Blue Planet Eyewear

From left, Sophia Nakasone, Angelica Tovar, Mattison Lawenda, Aide Gonzales and Rosalie Roberts of Blue Planet Eyewear help to clean the beach.

In honor of Carpinteria appreciation month, employees and brand ambassadors from Blue Planet Eyewear spent a day in August picking up litter at the beach. Since initiating the Random Acts of Kindness program this spring, the company has completed six projects, including helping to make a play area for animals at the Humane Society of Ventura County. Vice President Mattison Lawenda explains, “Our community does so much for us consistently, and (giving back) is the least we can do to appreciate it.” Whether it’s shoveling mulch at the Humane Society, or helping kids with special needs enjoy the beach, Blue Planet has committed to helping as many people (and animals) as possible.
