On Sept. 10, BEGA North America announced that it would increase its minimum wage to $15 per hour, effective Sept. 2, 2018. BEGA President Don Kinderdick stated “BEGA North America is dedicated to its associates. As valued team members, we understand how essential they are to our success. We’re honored to be able to increase our company’s minimum wage to $15 per hour well ahead of the 2023 mandate.”  Since 1985, BEGA North America is a “Made in America” manufacturer of luminaires. Over 150 people are employed at the BEGA facility in Carpinteria.
