The Alcazar Theatre begins its 12-day summer Drama Camp on Monday, July 1, when aspiring actors will learn drama techniques as well as set building and costume, light and sound design under the direction of Asa Olsson. Intended for young actors in the third- through 12th grade, Drama Camp runs Monday through Friday, July 1 to 12 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Alcazar Theatre, 4916 Carpinteria Ave. The registration deadline is Saturday, June 29, and the camp will culminate in a “Big Bang Production,” open to the public on Friday, July 12, at 7 p.m. For more information, visit thealcazar.org.
