No Simple Highway

No Simple Highway will perform at the Alcazar on Saturday, Sept. 7.

Even if the Dead Heads have largely given up their school buses for mini vans, the psychedelic noodlings of their patron saint Jerry Garcia will be heard once again when the Grateful Dead tribute band No Simple Highway performs at the Alcazar Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 8 p.m.

No Simple Highway’s goal is to stand out among the other tribute bands “by bringing a fresh energy to the beloved repertoire, from jumpy cowboy ballads to deep-space jams and everything in between,” according to their website. The band formed in 2014 after the group of Santa Barbara natives had been playing Grateful Dead covers together at parties and gatherings for years. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and presale tickets cost $20 at thealcazar.org. For more information, email info@thealcazar.org, or call (805) 684-6380.
