Last Saturday, the Nombres band showed off their skills at the Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center, the latest band to perform at the free community concerts held by the center.

The concert, part of a three-part summer series hosted by the arts center, was also sponsored by the Island Brewing Company and the Carpinteria Wine Company, who provided drinks for attendees to enjoy.

“We are delighted to offer the community free performances and are thankful to all of the volunteers that made it happen,” said Linda Rosso, executive director of the center.

The center’s next free concert will take place on September 18 and will feature the band South on Linden.
