Karen Clark

“Dreaming in Pink,” by Karen Clark, photographic art square on metal.

Photographic artist Karen Clark’s work will be presented at a pop-up show on Saturday, Sept. 25, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum.

Clark, who received her BFA in art education from the University of Colorado at Boulder, works as a professional photographer and is the owner of Whimsy Antiques, a vintage shop in Carpinteria. Her photography will be presented on metal canvases, and Sept. 25’s show will display 22 pieces of art. Her inspiration comes from seaweed, a press release stated, with her focus on its textures, form and colors.

“I see art in everything. It’s the way I’ve always been. I feel grateful to experience the world in such a beautiful and visual way,” Clark said.
